Welcome to www.DartmoorHolidays.co.uk, the website of Old Sowtontown - two self-catering holiday cottages, ‘The Barn’ & ‘The Shippen’, set on the western edge of Dartmoor within the National Park boundary . For
very reasonable prices, these cottages offer ideal accommodation for
walking, hiking or riding holidays .The open moor at Cox Tor is only a
ten minute walk up a 'no through' lane .Stabling is available should you
wish to bring your own horse(s) . Tavistock (best market town
2004)is
3 miles away, and Peter Tavy, the nearby village, has a church and a
C15th inn serving good food. The
Barn is larger and is suitable for up to 6 people while the Shippen
